Presbyterian leaders OK [homosexual] clergy
This article from the LA Times caught my eye today. The real headline used the “g” word, which I won’t use because it isn’t accurate. The article made me wonder though — how long before groups of conservative Christians follow suit? There’s definitely the “mind numbing” factor of seeing something in print and hearing it on the news for so long that it seems not only commonplace, but “normal” (whatever that is).
Are things like homosexual marriage, homosexual clergy, abortion rights, and the like just social issues? Or does the Church have the right — and the obligation — to stand up and speak out?
