The Bible and Debt

I don’t think it’s possible to be ambivalent on the subject of debt. You see it either as a necessary evil, or as an evil period. What does Scripture say about a child of God and debt? Once again, I’d like to point you to an article on the Christian personal finance blog, Christianpf.com. Bob treats this subject masterfully, and in an easy-to-understand manner. One of his suggestions applies literally to every aspect of our life — pray! This is the subject for another post really, but I know some people think there are subjects too trivial to “bother God with”. After all, if you have a problem with debt, God didn’t get you in to this mess did He? Why should He help you get out of it? Simple answer? Because He said he would! Any problem or request you take to the Father in faith is not trivial.

Take Him at His word.
