A Thousand Years Is as a Day

Does II Peter 3:8 teach that  “God’s day” is a thousand years long?  No, of course not.  Rather, it teaches that time is a concept unknown in the plan of God.
The passage must be considered in the light of the context.  The material heavens and earth, as we know and see them today, are to [...]

Baptism of Fire

John the Baptizer, cousin and forerunner of Christ, said, “I, indeed, baptize you in water unto repentance: but He that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: He shall baptize you in the Holy Spirit and in fire.” (Matthew 3:11; see also Luke 3:16-17.) Definition of Elder of the Church

Poimen  (Greek)  pastor  (Latin)  shepherd  (Anglo-Saxon)  denotes  tending, [...]

I owe Obama my subjection…The Bible [...]

Hebrews 11:17
Hebrews 11:31
Ephesians 2:10

I urge you to read the above verses before you read this article. Just place your cursor over the verse reference, and it will appear.
It almost seems confusing, doesn’t it?  “The righteous shall live by faith,” but James says that “faith without works is [...]

What about the change?

There’s a fairly recent song by Steven Curtis Chapman that describes some of the ways he shows his faith — he’s got a T-shirt, a bracelet with letters on it, a necklace & key chain, Bible magnets on his refrigerator, a “bless you” welcome mat, a Jesus bumper sticker, and the outline of a fish [...]
