Discouragement
First of all, let me tell you that we are in the process of updating our web site. The blog should remain unchanged. We sincerely invite you to explore the new web site when it is completed. Let me know what you think.
Well, the joy of the New Year is over, the bills are coming in and discouragement is rampant! What can we do about discouragement? Wait on the Lord; Be of good cheer; And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say on the Lord. (Psalm 27:14) Simple answer for a complex problem.
It is by no means unusual to encounter times in this life when we are discouraged. Life often hands us a bad blow, beating us to our knees, which is where we should be, anyway. We have all been discouraged at some time: deals fail, people we love pass away, time runs out, we are sick, you name it. Discouragement causes us to doubt ourselves and to lose self-confidence. However, we need to remember that God is always with us. (Hebrews 13:5) Therefore, when you are facing a situation that discourages you, do not give up, but turn to Him Who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us. (Ephesians 3:20) It becomes exceedingly important that you never cast away your confidence, which has great reward. (Hebrews 10:35)
Remember that. Never give up. Instead, ask for God’s help and wait for His timing. Sometimes, it may seem that He has not answered. Consider this: He may have something or someone even better planned for you. Do not lose heart, and remember, Be confident of this very thing, that He Who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:6) Never give up on God!
Therefore: To Him be the glory in the Church of Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians 3:21)

Great verses…especially the Philippians 1:5. I also think of Hebrews 12:1-2 for those/these times that may bother us and get us down.
